through tropical rainforest and spectacular waterfalls. A scenic and educational adventure, the Kuranda Scenic Railway is one of Cairns' most popular attractions,
and most visitors would not leave the area without having experienced this trip.
Skyrail The cableway ride provides amazing panoramic views of Cairns. As the gondola rises over the top of the mountains
towards Kuranda village, the scenery changes to dense rainforest and gigantic waterfalls and gorges. Upon reaching the top of the cableway, visitors experience
the lovely village atmosphere of Kuranda.
Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park Cairns It is located in Smithfield at the base of the Skyrail cableway, showcases the
40,000-year-old Aboriginal culture through dance and song. It is both an entertaining spectacle, and an educational experience for everyone. The park is set on
25 acres and combines the latest in theatre and technology.
